About Bailey Dawn

I can’t believe that I have been in the health and wellness industry for well over twenty years! And here I am writing the very first blog post for Bátor Studios. Since I’ve begun, it’s been an unbelievable journey to say the very least.  Victories and trials, it took bravery every little baby step of the way.

It began by measuring nutrition for hospital patients as a teenager, working with Physical Therapists in hospitals, personal training while studying for my State Medical Board License to practice Medical Massage Therapy, spending years in healing and counseling for myself and programs to guide others, crushing both ankles while on a professional snowboard tour and had to learn to walk again, and then returned in my late 30’s by competing in two sports on national levels.  The transformation never ends as long as one is open to it.

If we haven’t had a chance to connect personally or professionally, I look forward to doing so! Please be sure to leave a comment here or on social media, partake in our giveaways and contests, come to our wellness events, or schedule a massage.

As I write this, my seventeen month old daughter naps, and I’m still in my workout clothes from the gym. I tried the working-when-baby-is-asleep-at-night thing, but I just can’t function the next day.  I think we are all out there trying to figure out what works best for our lives, so being kind to ourselves (and each other) in the process  makes it all a little bit more lovable.  Life is for loving anyways, so the sooner we get on that boat, the better, right?

Learn to Love for a Living

Talking about love, when people have asked me over the years what I did for a living, I could only smile and say, “I’m a Massage Therapist.  I get paid to love people for a living.”

I’ve practiced the art and science of massage for 18 years now working with celebrities, professional athletes, frequent world spa-goers, and physicians, and each person is uniquely different.  It was (and still is) an opportunity to love each person where they are and help them get to where they want to be.  It was an experience and a transformation that each of them want and need.  Every career should be treated like that.  Look at your customer, client, or patient as a way to love them.

With all my life experience and studies, it’s not just about massage anymore, it’s about a transformation physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I only massage part time to focus on writing and blogging now for Bátor Studios, except for a few that pay me $300 a session, I make an exception!

Massage Studio in Grandview Heights

I began mentoring and teaching other Massage Therapists in 2015 while the Team Therapist for the Columbus Crew SC.  By the end of the year, it was honor for the Head Athletic Trainer to include me in the Major League Soccer Athletic Training Team of the year, and was competing nationally as an NPC Figure Competitor and USASA Snowboarder.  Probably the busiest and most insane year of my life.

We’ve been voted Best Massage of Columbus, and currently hiring more therapists.  We see professional athletes from the Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Crew SC, fitness professionals, and so many more that like deeper work.  We offer Cupping Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports Massage, Trigger Point Massage, Hot Stone Ritual Massage, and even Prenatal Massage for the mommy-to-be! To schedule anything massage related in our Grandview Studio, it’s all done online at this link

The Transition into Fitness

After crushing my ankles and learning how to walk again, it became more of a worshipful experience for me to use my accident as a gift.  Within a year I placed in the top five at The Arnold, and since then won my figure class in many shows, and walked across a few national stages. That stage was more of a platform to challenge myself as an athlete, raise awareness to end Child Sex Trafficking, and hopefully inspire other women that they could do it, too.

Others were asking about my training programs, so I simply wrote them down very detailed and offer them all online including my 90 Day Program.

It’s called The Three Day Body, simply because I get in the best shape of my life in only three days a week lifting weights combined with dialing in nutrition and supplements.  When a few weeks out from a competition, I might be in the gym four days a week.  It’s about making it simple so we can focus on the things that matter most in life, not just our appearance.

Why the name Bátor Studios?

It means brave.  It takes bravery to live out the journey that is deep within your heart.  It takes bravery to see what you are made of, or what you want to be made of. Each of us is fully capable of transforming in body, mind, or spirit.  It’s magical what an ounce of bravery could do, and that’s why we are here.
